Joseph’s song. A poem about Joseph’s experience: moving from love to feelings of betrayal through to realisation and joy. Based on Matthew 1. Dreams; torn. Hope; crushed. Her song; stone silence. Life; burying by thrusts of deceit and throws of lie. Future; where have you gone? Stone heart of mine still carved with love, that rocks of hate must not destroy. Such beauty, ravaged, destroyed, undone. And her song no longer mine. But must be sung. Dream; torn. Hope; stirs. His song; breaking silence. Life; awakened by waves of love and words of truth. Future; here now begun. Strong heart of hers that beats with love, surrendered to creator’s will Such beauty, won her, filled her. A son. And His song is now her own. And must be sung.

Voting: praying the prayer that is said each day as the house sits. “Lord, the God of righteousness and truth, grant to our Queen and her government, to Members of Parliament and all in positions of responsibility, the guidance of your Spirit. May they never lead the nation wrongly through love of power, desire to please, or unworthy ideals but laying aside all private interests and prejudices keep in mind their responsibility to seek to improve the condition of all mankind; so may your kingdom come and your name be hallowed. Our advent calendar stuffed with newspaper wrapped goodies. Not the most festive looking but #happyadvent anyway!

Love left-over-vegetables soup. This one is sweet potato, brussel sprout and pea made with stock, paprika and topped with some chilli salt. Mmmmmm!

@bbcnewsround does most black plastic end up in ‘landfill AND our oceans’. Or does most black plastic end up in landfill? Either way it’s bad but is our black plastic ending up in the oceans?

I have loved working on a range of Christmas cards with a local card company. Even better because each one links to a video of the carol by @rootsandriversworship
