Ps.26 I love your house

You give me cake.
I love your house.
Cake for my soul.

We sit by the fire.
I love your house.
A fire in my soul.

You start to sing.
I love your house.
A song of my life, of your joy, of your patience with me, of your delight in who you’ve made.
A good good song for my soul.

You walk to the piano as a myriad of singers fill the room.
They wait.
I breathe.
And a song begins from my heart, rising to choral crescendos of joy; accompanied by you.
I love your house.

Cake and fire and praise.
